I just rechecked them and the hairspray look exactly the same as the original. In fact, possibly a little bit better than the original prints. I also used something called Mod Podge which is touted as being great for photos and the hairspray was far superior as the MP adds a sort of crinkly hard finish to the photo. Just make sure the image has been allowed plenty of time to dry first so as not to smudge any of the ink. You could always try laminating your photos for display in such an environment.
Sally Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074408354145020529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-393920572991915360.post-52450400972787771762016-03-22T22:39:31.477+00:002016-03-22T22:39:31.477+00:00An interesting test thanks Sally. I have a display of wildlife photos at a local 'butterfly house' and as it is basically a giant 'super-heated' greenhouse I struggle with the picture fading. I've been doing some online research but nothing seems conclusive. I might put up a picture that has been coated in hairspray and just see what it does over the next fe months. I'll let you know how the test goes....
Best regards
HiggyHiggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05034613695263425820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-393920572991915360.post-25085049297332491172016-01-12T06:54:40.360+00:002016-01-12T06:54:40.360+00:00so it will no longer rub off and can help cover up...so it will no longer rub off and can help cover up the unevenness of the glossy surface by applying a sheen to the matt areas.
best sewing machinesRichard C.
